Malmbergetin kaivoskaupunki Pohjois-Ruotsissa on syntynyt rautakaivoksen ympärille, mutta malmi kulkee kylän alla, ja kylän on jatkuvasti siirryttävä pois kaivoksen tieltä. Kylän keskellä on valtava kaivostoiminnan seurauksena syntynyt reikä, Gropen, joka on jo syönyt suuren osan kylästä, ja muutaman vuosikymmenen kuluttua koko Malmberget on muuttunut reiäksi.
Kylän eteläpuolella oli omakotitaloalue, Elevhemsområdet, josta asukkaat olivat joutuneet lähtemään. Kaivosyhtiö oli ostanut kaikki alueen 163 taloa, ja ne odottivat tyhjinä purkamistaan reiän tieltä. Pyysin saada maalata yhden taloista valkoiseksi.

Malberget is a mining town in Northern Sweden. Malmberget was built around an iron mine, but the ore goes under the town, and the town has to keep constantly moving away from the mine. In the middle of Malmberget there is a huge hole, Gropen, that was formed because of mining activities, and in a few years, only the hole will be left of the town.
On the south side of Malmberget was a villa area called Elevhemsområdet, where all the inhabitants had had to leave their homes. The mining company had bought all the 163 houses on the area and they were waiting to be taken down so the hole can grow. I asked one of the houses to myself and painted it white.
